Lebanese form of 'head,' plural رُوس. Differs from MSA رَأْس by dropping the hamza — a hallmark of Lebanese phonology. Used literally and in many idioms: مِن رَاسُه (from his own initiative), رَاس السَّنِة (New Year), and عَلَى رَاسِي (with pleasure / at your service).
